This course is taught by a passionate team of NLSSM teachers who are highly qualified in their fields of expertise and have successful careers in sports massage and remedial soft tissue therapy. We will send patients away when an insole is not appropriate, if a patient is suffering with iliotibial band syndrome for example, the problem can be helped with physiotherapy and a stretching programme. That’s what our biomechanical assessment is all about; determining whether there would be any benefit from altering the alignment of your feet. Back pain is very common, and, according to the National Pain Audit, the costs of back pain alone account for 20% of the UK’s total health expenditure. It is difficult to diagnose the exact cause of an individual’s back pain. However, a contributing factor is poor posture because it means the body is less resistant to the strains we put on our body during our lifetime.

These are indeed wonderful, but if you are simply returning to the same set-up that is causing your back issue in the first place, you are still not resolving the problem at its core. Ergonomic workstations include taking a history of your back issues and identifying a holistic approach Postural Assessment in London that will help speed up your recovery process. He was friendly, kind, respectful, meticulous and reassuring. My knee is feeling lots better and I have a good sense of what to do to keep it that way. Also appreciated the commitment to covid safety and 10% off offer for new patients.

Posture Assessment

My experience of the greater "team" has also been second to none. In Sue, on reception, you could not wish for a more supportive and understanding point of contact, and equally in her colleague Karlie, the "human touch" is never forgotten and, refreshingly, nothing is ever a problem. Furthermore, they all own a very real understanding of the "life" complications, and a true sensitivity to the difficulties, which accompany injury and pain.

We are the first to admit that is quite a dramatic assessment. In the UK we are a long way from the average American in terms of diet and level of movement in our day, but there is a definite trend towards our less healthy cousins in the US. "I found myself in the early hours of the morning suffering from rapidly increasing back pain. I left a message at Physit and luckily they were able to fit me in at 8am the same day. I had several ses..." "I visited Physit and Phoebe Machin when I developed knee pain following a suddden increase in my exercise intensity. I was immediately reassured by Phoebe as she listened to my story and concerns. Sh..."

In my work as an ergonomist, advising companies across the UK on how they can minimise back pain in the workplace, I meet some people who can’t see the point of a workstation assessment. Our team of physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths use a state-of-the-art 3D Analysis System to deliver the most accurate analysis of posture possible. This is the second time in a few years I am going there for consultation. The physiotherapists there were very professional and able to help with the issues. These techniques aim to relieve muscle tension and pain whilst working to improve joint flexibility. Work may be done on surrounding joints to take the stress and strain off the affected area, ensuring that loading of the joints through activities such as walking is as equal as possible.

In sum, I would recommend Scott and the team at Physiotherapy London, without reservation, and in the highest possible terms. In this workshop we discuss the theories and physiology behind postural deterioration. From this understanding we can relate the changes in movement purity to the muscle chains that provide stability whilst producing force. This day lays the foundation for understanding static posture outcomes using both conventional and hands on skills to gain a picture of your clients behaviour, it is about making sense of what you see and feel. We use a variety of assessment tools to help you visual and feel imbalances, but most importantly bringing your findings into your treatment, starting you thinking about how to approach your rehabilitation plan.
